RECYCLING

WHAT IS RECYCLING?

Recycling is the process of reusing previously used materials and products. We can recycle not only paper, but also glass, plastics or tetrapack packaging ... Recycling reduces waste of resources, reduces the consumption of raw materials, reduces the amount of waste stored in landfills and reduces energy consumption.

DID YOU KNOW?

•    Each ton of recycled paper saves 17 trees, approximately 1,400 liters of crude oil, 3 cubic meters of storage space, 4,000 Kwh of energy and 26,500 liters of water.

•    Recycling paper requires 70% less energy than producing it from original raw materials

•    The amount of paper waste is growing every year. According to statistics, in Slovakia we throw away up to 1000 tons of paper waste per day. By not recycling and disposing of paper in mixed waste, we will destroy approximately 4,000 hectares of 100-year-old forest in Slovakia.
